The weirdest thing is that if I open Reason as a DAW, I can load the FL VSTi. Also I figured Id do the same in pro tools (load patchwork and see if FL studio VSTi or AU will load). I tried every combo of AU and VST there is between patchwork and FL. This also reminded and inspired me to try and load BlueCat Patchwork Synth as a plugin host in Ableton and see if I could load FL VSTi or AU into there. I might join that forum though to inquire with this person to see if they have any insight.Īt any rate, I went ahead and loaded an M4L instrument onto an Ableton midi track, then went and attempted to load both the AU and VST version into it. It reads to me that they are able to load FL studio in Ableton like you normally would, which makes me think they are likely on an Intel Mac. I think what they are saying is that they load FL into Ableton as a plugin (which im pretty sure there is no problem doing on an intel Mac), then they go on in their post as a side note that they use M4L to send ccs thru the IAC midi bus, which is just a side tip they wanted to add. I believe this person is using an intel version of Mac and not an M1 Mac. I’ve created a simple FL template that loads Harmor, so that it feels like another VSTi when using the FL wrapper in Live, and patched a simple M4L device to dial and send CCs to a dedicated Harmor IAC bus. Least expensive way to add it to the toolbox if you’re on OSX (and don’t care about FL as a DAW). Thanks for the suggestion Cazel! I think you are referring to this post in the thread?įWIW, I just bought FL Fruity Edition + Harmor to use it on my mac with Live and Max.
